A child care professional using a School-Age Child Care Credential to meet the Staff Credential requirement must have one of the following:

Florida Department of Children and Families School-Age Credential Training Program (FCCPC)

The FCCPC School-Age is a department-approved training program that consists of a minimum of 120 hours of early childhood instruction and 480 contact hours with children in a school-age child care setting.

Florida Department of Education School-Age Professional Certificate (SAPC)

The Department of Education also has a school-age training program that, upon graduation, can be used to meet the Staff Credential requirement.

Question: How will my initial FCCPC or SAPC be reflected on my DCF Child Care Training Transcript?
Answer: Your training provider will submit the information to DCF when you have completed all of the program requirements.

The School-Age Child Care Credentials (FCCPC and SAPC) must be renewed every five years.
